My sincerest sympathies to the immediate and extended family of Uncle George. He personified "uncle" , and he and Mary Ann have been an inspiration to me nearly all my life. He will be so missed! Love and prayers, Midge (Bialecki) Willson

To Aunt Mary and my Kretlow cousins-I remember Uncle George as always smiling and having a joke or funny story to tell. He will be missed.

I am sorry to hear of Clarence's passing. I was just a 17 year old girl out of high school in 1956 and my first job was working at Wilke's -- there were two desks in the office and the fronts were butt up against each other -- so it meant I was always face to face with Clarence. We had an incident about paper clips and of course Clarence was right -- but it was so funny we had a good laugh about it. He always made me feel "at home" at the office. Learned a lot from him. I still laugh about that incident even today. I have told my daughter and granddaughter this story probably at least 2 times or more. He was a very good man. It sure makes a world of difference on your first job to have a "Clarence Kretlow"

George taught me how to play schafkopf (sheepshead) many years ago and for a long time we enjoyed the Thursday Evening Schafkopf Club card playing meetings. He also introduced me to olives in grade school soon after he moved to Merrill from Milwaukee, by having me drink a bottle lid full of olive juice! Took many years before I could eat olives after that trick. Except for that, he was a good guy.
