Brainard, Christopher

Christopher Karl Brainard, 36, of Eustis, FL passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 30, 2015.

He was born on November 29, 1978 in Wausau, son of Jon Brainard and Eve (Szymanski) Keck. Moved to Eustis in 1982 where he attended St. Patrick Catholic Church in Mount Dora, FL. Christopher was an employee of Tropical Gardens as a grower and later a semi truck mechanic. His love of racing cars and collecting Mustangs was second only to the love of his children.

Christopher is survived by his children Chanse Klayton Brainard and Nevaeh Krishele Brainard and his significant other, Michelle Elliott, all of Eustis; his parents Jon (Jane) Brainard of Wausau and Eve (John) Keck of Eustis; his siblings Seth J. Keck, Mount Dora and Jordan L. Keck of Eustis; step-sister Aimee Miller and her children Ethan and Julian of Hudson, WI; grandparents Robert and Beverly Brainard of Wausau; grandmother Alice Keck of Schofield and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by grandparents George and Gloria Szymanski.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at Brainard Funeral Home - Wausau Chapel, 522 Adams Street, Wausau. Rev. Wes Jedras will officiate. There will be a gathering of family and friends on Thursday from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the Marathon County Humane Society, 7001 Packer Drive, Wausau, WI 54401 or The Friends of Rib Mountain, 4200 Park Road, Wausau, WI 54401.

I pray, and believe, that all those who have passed and gone before Christopher and who love him so have wrapped their spirits around him and have guided Christopher to God.
