Darlene Berlik Obituary
Darlene Berlik, 69, of Wausau passed away on Saturday October 18, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born August 11, 1945 in Wausau to the late Daniel and Martha (Wanta) Kuklinski. Darlene married Lawrence Berlik on January 25, 1964 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. In her earlier years, Darlene used to go fur trapping with Lawrence. They are lifetime members of the Wisconsin Trappers Association and enjoyed attending those special events together. She loved fishing, camping and solving word puzzles. However, her most special times were spent with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Lawrence of Wausau, four children, Dennis (Karen Tesch) Berlik of Mosinee, Sharon (Jeff Stetzer) Strasser, Dale Berlik and Linda Berlik, all of Wausau, eight grandchildren, Katrina (Curt) Matsche, Brandon, Collin, Jordan, Michael and Tristan Berlik, Desiree and Sabrina Strasser, three great grandchildren, Keyanna, Jordynn and Calleigh, five brothers, Roger (June) Kuklinski of Hatley, Jerome (Charlotte) Kuklinski of Ringle, Gerald (Linda) Kuklinski of Wittenberg, Anthony (Maryann) Kuklinski of Hatley, Norbert Kuklinski of Eland, two sisters, Elsie (Tom) Hessey of Weston and Betty (Tom) Linke of Tigerton and many nieces and nephews. Darlene was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Berlik and a brother, Gary Kuklinski.
The funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 1104 S. 9th Ave., Wausau. Father Tom Huff will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Wittenberg. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Helke Funeral Home. 302 Spruce St., Wausau with a parish rosary service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume Wednesday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service.
