Faith Claire Berglund, 70, Mosinee, died Thursday August 8, 2013 at Lili Assisted Living, Schofield.

She was born December 21, 1942 in Whitehall, daughter of the late Leonard and Florence (Beach) Ellison. On December 28, 1963 she married Richard "Bergie" Berglund in Whitehall. He preceded her in death September 20, 2009.

She graduated Whitehall High School and UW Stout for teaching Home Economics. After moving to Mosinee in 1968 Faith worked for the Marathon County Public Library for 23 years, last working there in 2003, and spent three years at D.C. Everest High School teaching Home Economics.

She spent two years in the Peace Corps in Malaysia and was a founding member of Good News Baptist Church in Mosinee.

Faith loved to bake and cook for her family and friends. She loved to exercise, go biking with Bergie and especially taking long walks with her dogs. Most important in her life was her personal relationship with Jesus Christ. She loved to serve at Good News Baptist Church in many different roles including singing and as longtime Sunday school superintendent. One of her greatest loves was reading books and getting others interested in reading. She enjoyed making wonderful memories with her family at the Shell Lake cabin. Faith and Bergie enjoyed many Friday night fish fry meals together with family and friends over the years, was a Packer fan and collected snowman items. She and Bergie traveled to several countries, some for mission and some for fun. She modeled her name "Faith" in many different ways and even though she always modeled joy, her life was never the same after the passing of Bergie in 2009.

Survivors include a son, Luke (Julie) Berglund; daughter, Leah (William) Bouton; five grandchildren, Cole and Logan Berglund and Caleb, Sarah and Bekah Bouton; two brothers, Leonard (Marion) Ellison and John (Mary Anne) Ellison, two sisters; Mary Rose Ellison and Carol (Jim) Nelson and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday August 13, 2013 at Good News Baptist Church, Mosinee. Rev. Duane Jass will officiate. Burial will be in Mosinee Cemetery, Mosinee. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 pm Monday August 12, 2013 at Good News Baptist Church, Mosinee and again from 1:00 pm Tuesday until the time of the service, all at the church.

Memorials may be given to the Mosinee Library, Lewy Body Dementia Association or Good News Baptist Church.

I remember going to story time at the Mosinee library when I was little. I still remember Mrs. Berglund teaching us the song "Where is Thumbkin?" with the hand motions. I now sing this to my son and fondly remember her at story time each time I sing it to him. I also remember Mrs. Berglund from when I attended Good News Church. She was always very kind. I have a feeling she has touched many, many lives over the years. My condolences to her family.
