Loretta Osowski Obituary

Osowski, Loretta "Na-Na"

Loretta "Na-Na" L. Osowski, 87, Mosinee, died Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Weston.

She was born Jan. 20, 1928, in Wausau, the daughter of the late Martin and Magdalena (Berek) Soltys. She married Chester Osowski on Nov. 12, 1947, in Pulaski. He preceded her in death April 22, 2013.

Loretta grew up on a farm on South Road in Peplin. She enjoyed gardening, especially some of the most gorgeous flowers which everyone enjoyed. She spent hours in the yard, cooking, baking, and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Packer fan. She loved visiting with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and appreciated a fluent conversation in Polish with her close friend, Evelyn Soltys. Whether family, friend or neighbor, everyone knew her as "Na-Na".

Survivors include a son, Chester Osowski, Mosinee; two grandchildren, Tracy (Robert) Schmoldt, Merrill, and Krisi (Chad) Gilray, Mosinee; two great-grandchildren, Cain and Carson Gilray; many nieces and nephews; and her faithful pug companion, Pud-Gee. She was preceded in death by a daughter, June Ann, a daughter-in-law, Carol Osowski, two sisters, Laura and Helene, and six brothers, John, Louis, Edward, Frank, Leon and Phil.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee. The Rev. Ray Claussen will officiate. Burial will be in Mosinee Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Wednesday until time of services at the funeral home.

A special thank you to Aspirus Hospice Care and Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center for the special care they provided to Loretta.

Unfortunately I only knew Loretta while she was at Kennedy Park Rehab. She shared God"s graces with everyone. I hope the twinkle in her eyes lives on in the hearts of those who knew her during her life.

Thanks Loretta

And God went on to create man in his image, in God's image he created him...Genesis 1:27. A life well lived gives glory to our Creator and celebrates the blessings he gives us. My sincere condolences to the family.

Loretta was my neighbor for about 13 years, very kind lady. She would always have something nice to say or encourage her pug "pudgy"(the name certainly suited the dog lol) to say hi to us. I will truly miss Mrs. Osowski, may she rest in peace.

To a dear auntie. You were a strong shoulder to me and a special friend. Thank you for your support and love all these years. I know you are lighting up heaven with your beautiful flowers, and smile, and maybe even dancing the polka with Uncle Chet! You have a wonderful family here. Chet is an awesome son. I know you are proud of him, and his family. May God Bless you. I love you. Your niece, Bobbi
