Anna Boderman Obituary

Anna Louise (Tonne) Boderman, 96, of Tripoli, died on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at the Tripoli Nursing and Rehab.

Anna was born on June 25, 1917, in rural Sumner, the daughter of Wilhelm and Bertha (Frost) Meyer. She was baptized on July 15, 1917, by Pastor Hohle and confirmed on March 20, 1932, by Pastor Kleiman, both at St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church in rural Sumner.

She was united in marriage to Emil Tonne on June 3, 1937, at St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church. Together Emil and Anna farmed in rural Tripoli. Emil passed away on Aug. 6, 1971. She later was united in marriage to Clarence Boderman on April 7, 1973, at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Readlyn. Clarence passed away on Aug. 27, 1992.

She is survived by her son, Vernon (Janice) Tonne, of rural Tripoli; two step-daughters, Doretta (Virgil) Buls, of Tripoli; and Verla Gardner, of Sumner; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; her many great and great-great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, Emil and Clarence, a son, Orville, six brothers, John, Edward, Christ, William, Paul and Art Meyer, five sisters, Helen Meier, Amanda Warnke, Ida Boderman, Leta Meyer, and Bertha Judisch.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Spring Fountain in rural Sumner with the Rev. George Volkert officiating. Burial will be held in St. Matthew's Cemetery, Readlyn. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral home in Readlyn and for one hour preceding services at the church on Saturday.

Memorials may be directed to St. John's, Spring Fountain, St. Matthew's Lutheran in Readlyn or to the Tripoli Nursing and Rehab. Online condolences may be left at www.kaisercorson.com
