Jane Brown

1941 - 2024

Jane Brown, 83, of Bristow, Iowa died on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at the Clarksville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Clarksville.

Jane Mae was born on October 22, 1941, the daughter of Donald and Madeline (Fuller) Soash in Waverly, Iowa. She attended Shell Rock Elementary and graduated from Shell Rock High School in 1959. She then attended Ellsworth Community College for two years. On January 8, 1961, she was united in marriage to John "Jack" Brown at St. John Lutheran Church Vilmar, Iowa. Jane sold Home Interiors and Gifts, worked as an Office manager at an Abstract Office and then at Dean's Light Box, retiring in 2008.

She was a loving wife and mother and enjoyed making ceramics.

Survivors are her husband, Jack Brown of Bristow, Iowa; daughter, Jill (Tony) Page of Roseville, California; son, Clark (Tricia)Brown of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Nicholas, Vanessa, Alexa and Kaitlyn; three great grandchildren; step, granddaughter, Hailey Jones and brother, Dean (Sandy) Soash of Waverly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Don Soash & Madeline Metzger; two brothers, Ellis and an infant brother infancy; grandson, Brandon Page and nephew, Philip Soash.

Jane has been cremated and there will be a visitation on Friday, December 27th from 10 a.m to 1 p.m. at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Shell Rock. Followed by a Memorial service at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Shell Rock. Memorials may be directed to the family for a designation in Janes's name and online condolences left at www.kaisercorson.com.
