JoAnn "JoJo" (Kosbau) Corson, 70, of Waverly, Iowa, died peacefully on Friday morning, November 3, 2023, at the Waverly Health Center from complications of heart and lung disease.

Jo was born on February 10, 1953, at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital in Waverly, Iowa, delivered by Dr. Vincent H. Carstensen. Jo was the daughter of Paul Sager and Elaine Ann (Norman) Kosbau. Jo was baptized on March 15, 1953 and confirmed on May 5, 1968, both at St Paul's Lutheran Church in Waverly. Jo attended grade school in Waverly and in 1971, graduated from the Waverly-Shell Rock High School in Waverly. In her school years Jo was active in Cheerleading, Masquers, Candy Stripers, Home Economics Club, W-SR Pep Club, the musical "South Pacific" and Mixed Chorus.

Jo loved to swim, was a lifeguard and on the swim team at the Waverly pool. JoJo enjoyed any outdoor activities, softball, snow skiing, golf, and planting flowers. While in high school Jo worked at Eckers Flowers and Greenhouse as a designer, and following graduation Jo continued to work at Eckers.

That same year the family moved to Denver, Iowa, and in 1998 made their home in Waverly.

Jo loved her grandchildren, Tristan and Brileigh, dearly and was extremely proud of son, Chris. She had a passion for flowers and doing artwork. Jo enjoyed traveling including special trips to Hawaii, Mexico, New York, Colorado, Texas and Arizona. JoJo loved spending time with her Birthday Club Gals as it was such a special group of friends. They all came over to our house on Monday, October 16, 2023, to share, laugh and cry, it was truly awesome.

Jo is survived by her loving husband, Steve (Dukie) Corson of Waverly: son, Chris and (Katelyn-Ryan) Corson of Waverly, her 2 wonderful grandchildren, Tristan and Brileigh Corson of Waverly; two sisters and one brother, Susan (Don) Mariano of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Dave (Diane) Kosbau of Brookings, South Dakota, and their family, Jenny (Ryan) Bauer, Jase, Kyle, and Will: Jill Kosbau; Jean (Tim) Kuethe of Waverly, Iowa and their family, Nikki (Zach) Ladage, Emerson and Logan; brothers-in law, Cal (Karen) Corson and their family, Phil Corson (Tori Heerts); Jenny (Chris) Gidley and Carter (Barb) Corson and their family, Kim and Carolyn (Fine) Vaea and Henry.
