Lavina Diercks Obituary
Lavina was born on September 18, 1939, in Cerro Gordo County, near Mason City, Iowa, the daughter of Howard and Wilma (Green) Strickler. She grew up in the Rockwell area and graduated in May of 1957 from Rockwell High School. She was united in marriage to Roy Diercks on September 18, 1957, at the First Baptist Church in Sheffield. The couple was later divorced.
Lavina is survived by her daughter, Debra (Brad) Lowery of Red Oak, Texas and a grandson, Steven Hartley. She had three brothers, Jim Strickler, John Strickler, and Bill Strickler. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Douglas Diercks.
A celebration of life is pending arrangements.

Miss Lavina was one of my residents. I´ll always remember her enjoying fried chicken and sitting at the nurse station with me telling me stories. Will miss her and her hugs
