Lynn Wingo Obituary
Lynn was born on April 12, 1962, in Ewing, Illinois, the son of Ralph Wayne and Ruth Ann (Blase) Wingo. Lynn attended school in Elk Grove, Illinois, and later served in the Unites States Army Reserves. Lynn worked for Sara Lee, Schneider Trucking, Waverly Health Center and most recently was working for Ryder Logistics.
Lynn had a huge passion for reading, and history was one of his favorite subjects. Lynn had a magnifying glass that he would use to look at his big atlas where he would find places that he recently read about in one of his books.
He loved spending time with his son Caden, and together they enjoyed hiking, biking and watching Formula One races. He had a love for golfing and always had a cup of coffee close by. Lynn was an avid fan of the Chicago Blackhawks and enjoyed watching hockey.
Lynn will be known for his constant jokes, his manners, his kindness, and his appreciation of others. He had a huge love for God and reading the Bible was very important to him. He will be remembered for his love for the Lord, golf, and hockey.
Lynn is survived by his son, Caden Lucas of Waverly; his brother, Robert Wingo of Crystal Lake, Illinois; his sister-in-law, Trudy Wingo; and his two nephews, Trace and Travis Wingo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Ruth Wingo.
A funeral service was held at noon on Monday, October 6, 2025, at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly. There was a visitation from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday at the funeral home. Burial was held in Harlington Cemetery in Waverly.
Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly assisted the family, 319-352-1187.
