William Dooly Obituary

William Dooly age 45 of Nashua died Saturday, January 4, 2025 at his home in Nashua, surrounded by family.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory – Olson Chapel in Nashua has been entrusted with arrangements.

Born on October 19, 1979, in Waverly, Iowa, to Richard and Susan (Bravener) Dooly, William, affectionately known as Bill to his friends and family, grew up with a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the community that surrounded him.

Known to his friends as "Willy". After graduating from Nashua High School, he went into the United States Marine Corps. William charted a path as a self-employed jack-of-all-trades. His work, which involved various odds and ends jobs, was a testament to his versatile skills and his willingness to lend a hand wherever it was needed. His entrepreneurial spirit was admired by many, and his involvement in the community left a lasting impact on those he worked with.

William's passion for life was most evident in his hobbies. He was an avid fisherman, always in search of the perfect fishing hole, a pastime he often enjoyed in the company of his beloved mother. His knowledge of the local waters was vast, and he was generous in sharing his favorite spots with others. When he wasn't by the water, William could be found working on vehicles. He had a knack for trying to fix just about anything that came his way, a challenge he embraced with enthusiasm.

The great outdoors was William's sanctuary, and he spent countless hours camping and cherishing the beauty of nature. His friends will fondly remember the times spent around the campfire, sharing stories and laughter under the starry skies.

William's adventurous nature and his joy in the simple things in life will be remembered by all who knew him. His legacy is one of a life lived with passion, a willingness to help others, and an unquenchable thirst for discovery. Though he has left us, the memories he created will continue to inspire and comfort his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him. William Maurice Dooly's journey through life was a testament to living authentically and embracing every moment with open arms.

William is survived by his mother Susan Graeser of Nashua; sister Victoria (Chad Beemer) Dooly of Oelwein; and children: William, Austin, Zack, Faith, and Stella Gorshe of Bellavista, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his father Richard Dooly and nephew Matthew Hampton.

I was shocked and saddened when I heard of Wills passing. Although I didn't know him very well, what I did know I admired. He is gone way to soon. My heart breaks for his family. Rest in Peace Will. Till we meet again
