JOSE LUCIO Obituary

JOSE RODRIGUEZ LUCIO With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jose Manuel Rodriguez Lucio, who left this world far too soon on June 15, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. He was 33 years old. Jose was born in Dallas, Texas, and from a young age, he embodied a spirit of determination, generosity, and resilience. He built a respected career in the contracting industry, known not only for his skill and work ethic but for his unwavering integrity. He was a self-made man who took pride in his work and provided for those he loved. His drive was matched only by his compassion. Jose achieved success as the chief executive office of Josey's Contracting, Josey's Equipment Services, North Texas Josey's Cattle Co, and Executive assistant at YCR Consulting Inc. He owned and operated multiple businesses and worked on projects across the DFW, always with an open heart and strong hands. Known to his loved ones as Meno, Josey, Muneca , El Jefe, Pa, Josb, or Oooseee, Jose attended Maypearl High School. He later attended one day at Navarro College and declared that was enough. Jose was a true protector -- the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back without hesitation. He was a loving son, a loyal brother, a devoted friend, and a generous soul who brought light and laughter into every room. Jose was a jack of all trades. He loved fishing, hunting, cooking (especially briskets and steaks). A lover of all music, his tastes ranged from Juice WRLD, Corridos, Breaking Benjamin, Sturgill Simpson, and his beloved house music. There was no place he'd rather be than with his family and friends; most recently he enjoyed Ojos Locos. Jose had an admiration for big booty Latinas. He could often be found having a good time, and with Fetty Jay Rodriguez - his ten-year-old blue heeler. He leaves behind a grieving family, friends, coworkers, and a community who knew and cherished the beautiful spirit that he was. Jose's life was a testament to hard work, love, and perseverance -- and we are committed to honoring the truth of who he was. Jose will be remembered for his kindness, his ambition, and his heart of gold. "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." -- Matthew 5:8 He was welcomed into eternity by his Father, Manuel Rodriguez Rodriguez; and family Seledino Rodriguez, Josefina Rodriguez Moreno, Ascencion Lucio Arzola, Marsela Lucio Guardado, Maria De Jesus Martinez, Sirila Guardado, Jose Martinez, and Ruby Lucio. Jose is survived by his mother, Maria Vasquez; sisters Nancy Rodriguez, Yvonne Rodriguez Ochoa and spouse Uriel Ochoa; brothers Juan Carlos Sotelo, Eduardo Sotelo, Angel Sotelo; nieces and nephews, McKenize Rodriguez, Damian Rodriguez, Zoe Beth Ochoa, Harper Sotelo, Noah Sotelo, and Christian Rodriguez. The family received visitors Wednesday, June 18, 2025 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, with rosary at 7:00pm, at Boze Mitchell McKibbin Funeral Home Chapel in Waxahachie, Texas. Funeral Mass was Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 2:00pm, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waxahachie, Texas. Interment will follow at Maypearl Cemetery.
