Robert Anderson Obituary

ROBERT "BOB" FRANKLIN ANDERSON, 95, of Ceredo, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Graveside service at 2 p.m. Monday March 18, 2024, at Roselawn Cemetery, 450 Courthouse Road, Princeton, WV. 24740. Bob was born November 22, 1928 in Fries, Va., a son of the late Eugene Franklin and Gussie Ellen Spence Anderson. Bob was a 1946 graduate of Welch High School and attended Bowling Green Business College, Ky., and Marshall University. He was a 41-year employee with Ashland Oil in the research and development department. He was a veteran having served as a SSgt in the USMC during WW II and Korea as a navigator. Bob was an active member of the community and loved camping, swimming, photography and spending time with his family. He was an avid animal lover and loved watching all Marshall University sports, "GO HERD." He will be deeply loved and missed by all. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Frank Anderson. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 73 years, Evelyn Anderson; children Roberta Anderson Miller (Dave) and John Anderson (Barbara); daughter-in-law Pam Anderson; 9 grandchildren; 13 grandchildren and 2 great- great-grandchildren. There will be no public visitation. Rollins Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rollinsfh.com.
