Cecelia M. Eickelberg

November 10, 1940 - October 4, 2025

Cecelia M. Eickelberg, 84, of Waterloo, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Wellsprings Living of Friendship Village in Waterloo.

She was born on November 10, 1940, in Waterloo, daughter of Nicholas and Marie Kremer Soteros. Cecelia graduated from Our Lady of Victory Academy in 1959. She married Glenn A. Bass in 1959; they later divorced. Cecelia married Glenn E. "Ike" Eickelberg, Jr., in 1968; he preceded her in death on March 31, 2017.

Cecelia is survived by three children, Dennis (Deborah) Bass of San Antonio, TX, Perry Bass of Oelwein, and Marie (Bill) Tillman of Oelwein; two stepsons, Rick (Kim) Eickelberg and Jeff Eickelberg, both of Waterloo; many grandchildren, step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; a wide circle of friends; one sister, Rhodel Avritt; and four brothers, Tony, Steve, David, and Ron Soteros.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ike; four brothers, Doug, Nicholas, Mark, and Greg Soteros; and one sister, Christine Soteros, who died one week after Ceceilia.

Family Directed Memorial Service October 21, 2025, at First Baptist Church, 31 1st Ave NE, Oelwein, with a reception to follow. Visitation for one hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be directed to Friendship Village Auxiliary or the Alzheimer's Association.
