Dale Robert Lampman, 83, of Waterloo, Iowa died peacefully October 16, 2025.

Dale was born on November 10, 1941, to Beulah Ekren and Willard Litty. He was raised from age five by his adoptive parents, Robert and Leone Lampman. Dale graduated from Waterloo East High in 1960. He was married to Sharon Geary in February 1961 and until her passing in 2010. He later married Cheri Mabon, and they were married for four years.

Dale worked in sales for many years at Fox Shoe store before pursuing his passion as an airbrush artist. He was involved with the Sunrise Exchange Club for most of his adult life, including being a past president and helping build and open the Sunrise Children's Petting Zoo.

Dale participated frequently in donating blood at the Red Cross earning Gold Level apheresis donor status in 2002.

Dale was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon (Geary) Lampman; his biological parents, Beulah Ekren and William Litty; and adoptive parents, Robert and Leone Lampman; his younger sister, Marilyn Litty; and sister, Judy Allen.

Dale is survived by his three children, Lisa (Lampman) Wood and husband Robert of Minnesota, Dana Lampman and wife Evon of Texas, and Ben Lampman and wife Barbara of Nebraska; his sister, Shirley DeWitt; and brother, David Ekren.

11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life is being planned for a later date. Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland, Iowa, is assisting the family with local arrangements.
