David Carter Obituary
He was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church, a WWII veteran of the US Army, LaGrange American Legion and retired Assistant Farm Manager for Hermitage Farm.
Preceding him in death was his sister: Francis Vance and brother: John Carter.
Survivors include his wife Juanita Tyler Carter; children: David Michael Carter, Sherry Ann Carter and Dr. Daniel William Carter.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 4:00 PM on Friday, December 19, 2014, at Shiloh United Methodist Church with a reception in the church fellowship hall to follow.

David and Juanita have been good neighbors for several years, and it will a big loss to the 5th Avenue community. David was always easy to talk to and to find out what was going on with a lot of common friends. I'm very sorry to see him pass. My most heart felt condolences.

Juanita and Ann, so sorry to hear of David, but you can be assured, he is at rest now. I know he will be missed, he was a wonderful husband, father and friend. He was so wonderful to talk to and be around. I was so sorry I didn't
make it. I have had trouble with my bad knee for the last couple of days. So
that has made my hip hurt. I took some pain meds and have been so sleepy all day. I was afraid to drive by myself. I will come by and see you all in a few days. Love and Prayers LaVerne Garrett.

Uncle Dave was so interesting to talk to about his life on the horse farm and WWII stories. As kids we spent several summer days staying on the farm with Dave and Juanita, Mike, Danny and Ann. Many Thanksgivings spent there as well. He will be greatly missed. Rachel Tyler Simpson and husband Jerry.
