WATERLOO-Dixie Lee Miller, 83, of Waterloo, died Thursday, December 22, 2022, at NewAldaya Lifescapes.
She was born December 15, 1939, in Waterloo, daughter of Clarence Eugene and Ollia Mae (Simmons) McCallum.
Dixie attended East High School and received her associate degree in General Technology from Hawkeye Community College. She was employed by Deere & Co., Waterloo, at the Product Engineering Center, retiring in 2002.
Survivors include a son, Paul (Shelly) Miller of Waterloo, IA; a daughter, Laina (Dana) Hunt of Parkersburg, IA; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rose Kimball of Ivonia, LA, and Vicky (Loyd) Fuller of Leesville, LA; and a special friend, Carl Kainer of Cedar Falls, IA.
Preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Kathleen Ducote; a son, Michael Reddick; two brothers, Ralph McCallum and Richard McCallum; and granddaughter, Lorraine Willard. A son, Gary (Anne) Reddick of Princeton, LA, died on December 25, 2022.
A Celebration of Life will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls with visitation one hour before the service.
Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
