Dorthy Eldridge Obituary

Dorthy Eldridge

December 30, 1950 - December 22, 2024

Dorthy Jane Eldridge, aged 73, passed away on December 22, 2024, in Apache Junction, AZ where she spent her winters (hometown Elk Run Heights). Born on December 30, 1950, Dorthy was a beacon of love, kindness, and generosity, known for her vibrant personality and playful spirit.

Dorthy grew up attending Akeley High School and furthered her education at Beauty School, which paved the way for her career as a cosmetologist. She had many great anecdotes and hobbies.

A committed member of the Mountain View Lutheran Church in Apache Junction, AZ, Dorthy's faith was a great support to her and those around her.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Richard Eldridge; her children, David Eldridge (Wendy) and Laura Bagsby (Everette); and her cherished grandchildren, Brock Eldridge, Jenella, and Everette Bagsby. Dorthy is also survived by her siblings, Irene Disselbrett (Roy), Audrey Iverson, and Charles (Jan) Oelschlager. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Luella Oelschlager, and her son, Mark Eldridge.

A celebration of Dorthy's life will be held in Iowa next summer, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Shriners Hospital, a cause close to her heart.

Dorthy Eldridge left a legacy of love and cherished memories with all who knew her.
