Erma Hilda Clausing, 95, of Waverly, IA died April 11, 2024, at Nation Cottage in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
Erma Hilda (Baumgartner) Clausing was born on September 21, 1928, to Emil and Elizabeth (Beyerlein) Baumgartner in Clayton County, IA. She was both baptized and confirmed at St. Sebald Lutheran Church, Strawberry Point, IA, on October 14, 1928, and April 5, 1942. On May 19, 1950, she was united in marriage to Roland H. Clausing at St. Sebald Lutheran Church, rural Strawberry Point.
She is survived by her three children: Sandra (Andrew) Jensen of Urbandale, Judith (Fred) Mittan of Cedar Rapids, and Michael (Roxanne) Clausing of Maquoketa; 7 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. April 16, 2024, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Waverly. The service will be livestreamed on St. Paul's You Tube page. Burial: Harlington Cemetery, Waverly. Visitation: one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions: St. Paul's Lutheran Church or Wartburg College. Online condolences: www.kaisercorson.com.
