Kenneth Lee Fleshner
September 14, 1950 - December 23, 2023
Kenneth L. Fleshner, age 73 of Prairie du Chien passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Crossing Rivers Health. He was born in Waterloo, IA on September 14, 1950, the son of Lee and June (Uhlenhopp) Fleshner. Growing up in Waterloo, Ken graduated from Waterloo West High School with the class of 1968. Ken married Roberta "Bobby" Saland on February 21, 1969, in Cedar Falls, IA. Ken was drafted and served in the infantry with the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. Upon returning home to Waterloo Ken reunited with his wife Bobby. Ken worked for John Deere for 13 years before moving to Prairie du Chien and purchasing the Lynxville Fishing Float in 1986. Ken retired from the US Army Corp of engineers Lock and Dam #9 in Lynxville, WI in 2013 after working there for 20 years. Ken enjoyed hockey, fishing, NASCAR and was a talented woodworker. Nothing was more special to him than spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bobby; 2 sons, Kenny Jr. (Terra), and Chris Fleshner (Becky); brother Keith (Linda) Fleshner; grandchildren Brendan (Kristal Fishler), Dayton, and Jaden Fleshner; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Diane Robbins.
A Celebration of Ken's Life will be held at a later date.

Played high school hockey with Kenny I was the goalie 1967 sailors team.good memory. God bless him
