Marilyn Andersen Obituary
Marilyn Ione Andersen, age 91, passed away in her home on February 6, 2025, at 9:30 p.m., surrounded by her two grandsons and daughter. She had a deep passion for art, history, genealogy, and gardening, always nurturing beauty and curiosity in the world around her.
She is survived by children, David (Nancy) Andersen and Kathi Monnig; grandchildren, Justin (Stephanie Zamora) Schilling, Matthew Schilling, Lacey Brakebill, Karen (Trevor) Christopherson, and Molly Andersen; and great-grandchildren, William, Ashley, Ava, Jake, and Etta.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Gladys Seaver; brother, Don; sister, Charlene; and her grandsons, Daniel Andersen and Jeremy Schilling.
A celebration of Marilyn's life will be held on February 22, 2025, at 2:22 p.m., at the Cedar Valley Odd Fellows Lodge, 402 W. 2nd St., Cedar Falls, IA 50613.
Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice, PO Box 2880, Waterloo, IA 50704.
Her love of family, creativity, and history will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Marilyn was out across the street neighbor on Sunset Rd in Waterloo. I remember our long chats and watching David and Sue grow up. She loved her cats also. When she moved to Cedar Falls we lost contact. How wonderful to see how her family has grown and that you all will have wonderful cherished memories of your mom, grandmother and great grandmother.
