Marilyn Andersen Obituary

Marilyn Ione Andersen, age 91, passed away in her home on February 6, 2025, at 9:30 p.m. Surrounded by her two grandsons and daughter. She had a deep passion for art, history, genealogy, and gardening, always nurturing beauty and curiosity in the world around her.



She is survived by her children, David (Nancy) Andersen and Kathi Monnig; grandchildren, Justin (Stephanie Zamora) Schilling, Matthew Schilling, Lacey Brakebill, Karen (Trevor) Christopherson, and Molly Andersen; and great-grandchildren, William, Ashley, Ava, Jake, and Etta. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Gladys Seaver; brother, Don, sister Charlene and her grandsons Daniel Andersen and Jeremy Schilling.



A celebration of Marilyn's life will be held on February 22, 2025, at 2:22 p.m. at the Cedar Valley Odd Fellows Lodge, 402 W 2nd St, Cedar Falls, Iowa 50613. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice, PO Box 2880, Waterloo, IA 50704.



Her love of family, creativity, and history will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
