Nicholas S. Frank, 78, of Waterloo, died on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Parker Place Assisted Living Memory Care in Parkersburg, IA. He was born December 21, 1946, in Waterloo IA to Nicholas L. and Kathleen (Bullard) Frank.

He graduated from Columbus High School in 1965 and began working at John Deere. He was drafted for the Vietnam War and served in the Marine Corps at Cherry Point, NC from February 1966 - 1968 and received an honorable discharge. He returned to working at John Deere as a boring mill machinist until his retirement in January 2013.

Nick was an avid golfer, bowler and pool player.

Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Janan.

Nick is survived by his 3 children, Nicholas A Frank (Houston, TX), Alexander Frank (Stelzenberg, Germany) and Elizabeth Frank (Des Moines, IA); by 5 brothers and 2 sisters; Bob, Kenny, Lyman, Mary, Pat, Kathy and Chris.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

We had some great times with Nick. I´ll never forget our trip to Minneapolis for a Vikings game. There are probably some people in the bars up there that remember us too. RIP Nick
