Ronald D. Mills, 77, of Denver, Iowa died on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo of Parkinson's disease.

Ronald Duane Mills was born on July 2, 1948, the son of H. Marion and Grace E. (Vaughn) Millis in Waterloo. He married Delberta Timion in November of 1965. They later divorced. On August 9, 1986, he married the love of his life, Collette Hartmann Kass at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.

Ron graduated from Janesville High School and then worked at John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 33 ½ years. Retiring on December 31, 1999.

He loved to elk hunting, fishing with his buddies, spend time with old friends, help his wife with her beloved Paint Horses and having a cold Schlitz beer.

Survivors are his wife, Collette Mills of Denver; son, Nicholas (Tami) Mills of Cedar Falls; four daughters, Tami Mills of Wellsburg, Holly (Mike) Hewitt of Waterloo, Kim Kass of Denver and Jennifer Ferson of Denver; 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Sandra Mills of Ankeny. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Marion Junior Mills.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 1st from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Denver. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 2nd at 1:00 p.m. at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Denver. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery Cedar Falls. There will be a celebration gathering from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Denver American Legion on Tuesday. Memorials can be directed to the family for a later designation in Ron's name and online condolences left at www.kasiercorson.com.
