Frances Nellie Brown

BROWN, Frances Nellie, 92, resident of Prattville, AL, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 14, 2025. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 11:00 am from Camellia Baptist Church with Pastor Glenn Brock officiating. Burial will follow at Prattville Memory Gardens with Prattville Memorial directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Fran always had a smile and an encouraging word for everyone. Many knew her as the "Avon Lady". She was a fabulous saleswoman and won trips to Hawaii and the Bahamas and won many other gifts and awards. Her many talents included being an artist, a musician; she had a voice that ranged from alto to soprano, she baked and decorated many beautiful cakes including wedding cakes. She had a deep love of Jesus. She and her husband Frank also had a passion for square dancing and teaching Sunday school. Fran was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents, Loren and Lena Jones; husband, Frank G. Brown, Jr.; two sisters, Ada Mary Van Valkenburg and Beatrice Leona Jones; granddaughter, Christine Griffin. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Griffin; son, Thomas Alan Brown (Linda); three grandchildren, Muge Cody (Kevin), Max Brown and Savannah Brown; four great-grandchildren, Loki Ballam, Kevin Cody, Jonah Cody and Elsa Cody; dear friend, Paul Evans (Sarah); extended family and friends. Pallbearers will be Thomas Brown, Max Brown, Loki Ballam, Mike Mest, Danny Hadden and Chris Morgan.
