Jessie Taylor Obituary

Jessie Taylor, age 76, died Saturday, September 27, 2025. Funeral services for Mr. Taylor will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 2:00 pm at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Lannie Shepherd officiating and Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the church. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his mother Olene Clark Taylor; father Lester Taylor; brothers: Robert Taylor and Frankie Taylor; and wife Charlene Grissett Taylor. Mr. Taylor is survived by his daughter Cindy Johnson (Richard); son James Taylor; grandson Matthew Reeves; step granddaughters: Kelly Dady (Will) and Katherine Ingalls (Matthew); two step grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Jessie was loved by his church family, senior center family and many in the New Hope Community. He never met a stranger and enjoyed the company of others. May he be surrounded in heaven with family and friends until we are together again. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the New Hope Senior Center, 2192 County Road 124, Brundidge, AL 36010.
