Sandra Hart Harvey

HARVEY, Sandra Glenn Hart, 91, a native of Savannah, Ga., and a resident of Prattville, AL since 1971, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 29, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Iris Prater Hart of Savannah, and her husband of 65 years, Edward Harvey. Sandra is survived by her two daughters, Kimberly Harvey and Kendall Haywood (Walt); three grandchildren, Kendra Broadway (Will), Eric Lauer, and Grace Lauer; two great-grandchildren, Brock and Blaire Broadway; as well as extended family and friends. She will be remembered by many for her public speaking engagements and book reviews, and her three self-published books. A faithful member of the Prattville First Methodist Church, Sandra taught the Wesley Bible class and served on various committees. Sandra also served as a Girl Scout troop leader in Prattville, drawing on her many years of involvement as a Brownie, Intermediate Scout, Senior Scout, and Mariner Scout in Savannah. She was one of the founders of the Sosia Women's Club of Prattville, a member of Askesis Study Club, Service League Sustainer, and the Autauga County Heritage Association. She also served on the Board of the Autauga County/Prattville Public Library and enjoyed the companionship of several bridge groups. A service honoring her life will be held at Prattville First Methodist Church on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. A reception will follow in Pratt Hall. Interment will be a private family service. Memorial contributions may be made in the form of flowers or donations to AICC (Autauga Interfaith Care Center), 163 W. Third Street, Prattville, AL 36066 or Prattville First Methodist Church.
