Jeffrey Seljan Obituary
Born to Kenneth and Patricia Seljan on Feb. 21, 1960, he was a lifetime resident of Lake Mills. In his youth he joined The Boy Scouts of America, achieving the Eagle scout rank. He graduated from Lake Mills High School in 1978 and began full time work in the family's manufacturing business SELJAN CO. Later graduated from Tech. college and earned his degree as a journeyman tool and die maker. In 1995 he left the tool room and began learning AutoCAD engineering. His unparallel skill in design and dedication contributed vastly to the company's success and growth. He held the position as head of engineering and design until the time of his illness.
Jeff was a loyal, devoted family man and friend, he approached life's challenges always with a good sense of witty humor. During the past couple of years he was able to enjoy being semi-retired. Spending hrs. riding his Honda Goldwing, flying RC airplanes, connecting with great lifelong friends, ice fishing, taking adventure travel trips or just a simple hours drive on the surrounding country roads. Jeff loved nature, being outdoors, often hiking at State parks. He had a profound love of music just being home turning a vinyl album with a cold beer brought about many hrs. of contentment.
He is survived by his wife Mary Seljan, their sons Tony Seljan, Jack Seljan, Stepdaughter Ashly Bergholz-Dixon; son-in-law Damien, and their children, Denali Dixon, Anika Dixon, and Vincent Dixon; one brother, Scott (Vicki) Seljan; one sister, Amy (Scott) Woerpel; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Gregg.
Visitation and Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday September 14th from 3-6 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, Lake Mills
Funeral Services are being observed privately by immediate family
