Peter Polensky Obituary

Peter Ray Polensky St Paul, MN - Peter Ray Polensky, 65, of St. Paul, Minnesota passed away unexpectedly, at his home, on Monday, August 28, 2023.

Peter, son of William and Mary Lou (Krause) Polensky, was born on January 13, 1958 in Watertown, Wisconsin. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1976, where he participated in wrestling and developed his interest in operating and building HAM radios, and electronics. He spoke to people from all over the world, and enjoyed his friends in the HAM radio club.

Peter went on to earn an Associate Degree from MATC in Applied Science, Electronic Technology in 1984 and enjoyed building and repairing computers, always having multiple computers in various states of restoration.

In Peter's youth, he became an avid bicycle rider, having once engaged in a solo bike trip to the Black Hills, South Dakota, sleeping in a tent along the way. Peter taught himself how to juggle, using pool balls, to our dad's dismay, because his bedroom floor was made of wood, and located directly above the living room. As you can imagine, it was quite loud, until he mastered his skill.

Peter previously lived in Madison, Milwaukee, and then settled in St. Paul for the last 30 years. He was very fortunate to have an exceptional woman in his life, Andrea, whom he enjoyed sharing many activities with, including swimming at the beautiful Perch Lake.

Peter is survived by his incredibly steadfast friend Andrea Murray, a brother, Jeffrey Polensky (Jill), and his sisters, Laurie Falk (Don) and Linda Polensky, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Peter is proceeded in death by his mother Mary Lou Polensky (Krause), his father William Marcell Polensky, and nephew Jeffrey Allen Polensky Jr.

In honor of Peter, his family is planning a remembrance reunion of family and friends at a later date.
