RONALD L. SCHNELLE
Ronald L. Schnelle, a humble and loving soul, entered into eternal rest on September 14, 2025. Born on January 24, 1944, in Enid, Oklahoma, Ronald spent his formative years growing into a witty and talented individual who would later touch many lives. He resided in Wellington, Kansas, where he lived out his days as a loving husband, devoted father, and doting grandfather. Ronald's humble beginnings led him to a dedicated career as a Lineman with KP&L in Abilene, Kansas, a position he held with honor for 37 years until his retirement.
Ronald was a man of profound faith, an active member of the Wellington Methodist Church. He served as a volunteer caretaker at Emmanuel Christian Seminary for 12 years in Johnson City, TN, where his remains will be placed in the columbarium. His commitment was further evident in his seven years of faithful service at Camp Horizon. Ronald was the ultimate handyman; his love for anything electrical and his ability to solve any problem made him indispensable. His favorite scriptures were Jeremiah 29:11 and Proverbs 22:6, words that guided him throughout his life.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly six decades, Kay Schnelle; his sons, Heath (Tonja) Schnelle and Lock (Gina) Schnelle; his twin brother Robert Schnelle; his sister, Sondra Blackwell; and his adoring grandchildren, Emma, Addison, Kenzie, Logan, and Rylee Schnelle. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, C. Willis and Eva Schnelle, and a beloved grandchild, Grace Schnelle.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Ronald Schnelle will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Wellington Methodist Church located at 202 W. Harvey Ave., Wellington, Kansas, 67152. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Camp Horizon. Contributions may be mailed to or left with the funeral home.
Ronald's life was a testament to his relationship with Jesus, his commitment to serving others, and his unwavering love for his family. His legacy will continue to inspire those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
