Clayton Teator Obituary
Born in Hornell, Sept. 19, 1955, the son of Clayton and Ramona Herbert Teator II, he had resided in Hornell most of his life, before moving to Scio seven years ago. He was a graduate of Hornell High School, Class of 1973, SUNY Alfred and Cornell University where he received his BS degree.
Clayton was employed as an estimator at Alstom in Hornell and was a member of the Hornell Association. He attended the Genesis Bible Church in Scio and enjoyed racing at the Dragway in Leicester, N.Y. Clayton enjoyed camping but especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Kimberly S. Clark of Scio; his daughter, Jody (Daniel) Barnett of Hornell; his sons, Shawn Teator and Steven Teator both of Virginia, Alan (Connie) Teator of Kansas and Eric Teator of Hornell; six loving step children; several grand children; his sister, Mona (Scott) Morse of Hornell; his brother LeRoy (Pam) Teator of Hornell; and many special friends, nieces and nephews.

The family will be present to receive friends at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell on Wednesday from 4-5 p.m. where Funeral services will follow calling hours at 5 p.m. with Pastor Bill Sylor officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canisteo.

I've known Clay for many years but haven't seen him for quite some time. I remember a few September birthday parties out on Crosby Creek Rd where there was a lot of drinking, laughing and good times. It's a shame good people like this have to leave us too soon.
