Antje Prey Obituary
Antje Prey was born on November 15, 1935 in Elmschenhagen, Kiel in Germany to Heinrich and Adele Arp. She immigrated to Peshastin, Washington in 1975 with her husband, Rudolf, and three of their four children, to become orchardists. Together, they opened Prey's Fruit Barn in 1979. Antje is survived by her four children – Jutta Prey of Germany, Siegrid Willems of Cashmere, Wilma Nunn of Wenatchee, and Rudolf Prey Jr of Peshastin, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Dear Prey Family--I am so sorry to hear about Antje's passing. During the 5 years I worked at Prey's orchard I grew to love her and the rest of her family. It was a real treat for me to get to be there with you guys. Antje always amazed me with her energy, her humor, her laughter. It was a special time for me. Thank you so much. I met Antje and Rudy in 1975 when they bought their pear orchard in LEVENWORTH. I became their CPA for many years. We hand many great meals together and I gave Antje great pleasure to prepare her special German meat dinners for Elaine and I. She always was calling me and vice versa to discuss our latest episodes in life. When Rudy passed away we stayed in contact. I will miss her voice. I use to stop at her house to visit often. I will miss her in my life. Goodby and so long Antje.

Dear Prey children and grandchildren,
I am sorry for the passing of Antje Prey - your Mom and Grandma - she was an amazing woman in our community- Her fruit stand was one of the best! She was a great role model for us younger moms ! She also supported our children thru the many donations to the different organizations- MEND´s food bank - so many boxes of fruit and produce the years of 4H, campfires, icicle river middle school fundraisers- all our Cascade school district `s many years of sports and educational opportunities! So Ziggi- if you need any help with anything ? please reach out to me.

Prey family, I am sorry for your loss. Antje was a lovely hardworking woman with a good business head. I always bought my fruit from her and knew it would be best and sweetest available.
