Catherine Harris Obituary
September 25, 1935 - December 22, 2024
Catherine E. Harris of Chelan passed at the Lake Chelan Hospital on December 22nd with her husband, children and granddaughters by her side. She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her husband Robert G. (Bob) Harris, of the home, her children Joe (Alice) Harris, Jacque (Barry) DePaoli and her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren: Kaiti (Eric) Carlstrom, Elliotte and Calvin, Dallas, Texas; Joe (Letti) Harris and Penelope, Orlando, Fla.; Jaicee (Jeff) Tuel, Harlie and Hank, Fresno, Calif.; Maghara DePaoli, Santa Monica, Calif.; Makenzie Harris, Dallas, Texas; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Cathie was born on September 25, 1935 in Pasco and raised in Benton City, Wash. She was proceeded in death by her parents Malcolm E. Kerr and Evelyn (Moore) Kerr and her sister, Marilyn Ida (Kerr) Gant.
In 1954 Cathie earned her WA State Beautician's certificate from the Pasco School of Cosmetology and took price in practicing her craft for well over 65 years. Cathie and Bob were married in 1955, making their first home in Benton City until they moved to Chelan in 1967 where she worked as a beautician at the Fashionette Beauty Salon and as a para-professional at the Lake Chelan School district. Cathie also operated an apple orchard with her husband, Bob, for 30 years and was active in a variety of civic organizations and volunteer efforts over the years. She especially enjoyed any opportunity to help and support young people in the Chelan valley.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the many gifted and compassionate health care professionals in both Chelan and Wenatchee who cared for Cathie, as well as to their friends and family whom have offered their heartfelt condolences. The family will host a Celebration of Life for Cathie in Chelan this summer, with details to be published close to that time.

She was a wonderful friend for over 50 years and we loved her dearly. Had many adventures together, Alaska and Arizona come to mind. She will be missed by many.
