Jill Nicole Townsend, 40, of East Wenatchee, WA, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, surrounded by her loving family after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Jill was born on August 30, 1983, in Nampa, ID, to Sid and Julie Sever.
She was raised in Hermiston, OR, and attended Hermiston High School, where she excelled academically and as a multi season athlete. She attended Northwest Nazarene University and graduated with honors in 2008, with a bachelor's degree in business and a minor in English Literature. She married Michael Townsend in 2010, and in 2011, welcomed their first child. Jill's greatest joy was being a stay at home mom. She loved making her house a home where all who entered would feel welcome. Jill enjoyed camping and hunting with her family, reading, baking, gardening, and canning with her mother and sisters. She loved watching her children participate in their sports and activities. She also cherished any opportunity to gather with extended family.
She was active in her local prayer group, lay leadership roles within her church and IF women's discipleship ministry. Jill had a heart for helping lead people to Jesus through her personal testimony and her commitment to intercessory prayer. She will be remembered for her faith, loyal friendship, and tenacious spirit.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Townsend; children: Briggin (13), Kinley (10); step-son, Cole (18); parents: Sid and Julie (Mayhew) Sever; sisters: Kimberly Sever, Amy (Tyler) Liebelt; nephews: Josiah (7), Nolan (5); and niece, Sadie (3).
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at Sage Hills Church, 1602 Fifth St., Wenatchee, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sage Hills Church/Restore Ministry. Arrangements are in the care of Jones & Jones – Betts Funeral Home, Wenatchee, WA.
