Laura R. Montgomery passed away peacefully at her home in Lincoln, Neb., at the age of 66 on August 19th, 2025.
Laura was born in Wenatchee, Washington on July 10th, 1959, to LeNie and Kennard Hall.
She was raised in Seattle, WA by her mother, LeNie and step-father, Garth Tallman. She moved to Lincoln, NE in 2019 to be closer to her son and family, where she resided until her passing. She was a long time manager at Costco in Washington state and Nebraska.
Laura was preceded in death by her mother, LeNie Tallman; step-father, Garth Tallman; father, Kennard Hall; and grandparents.
She is survived by her son, Garth Montgomery; daughter-in-law, Sadie Montgomery; grandchildren, Ella and Sloane Montgomery; her sister, LaCinda Gibbs; brother-in-law, Doug Gibbs; nephew, Christopher and family; niece, Andrea and family; step-mother, Colleen Hall; ex-spouse, Michael Montgomery; and canine companion, Baxter.
The family is planning a private service. Memorial donations may be made to Nebraska Dachshund Rescue.

I worked at Costco for many years with Laura in WA State. She was a wonderful woman and a wonderful friend. We shared a lot of great talks together. She will be missed.
