Lawrence O'Brian Obituary
February 20, 1949 - May 19, 2025
Lawrence "Larry" O'Brian passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025, after a long illness. Born in Ogdensburg, NY, Larry was the eldest son of Carmen "Mike" O'Brian and Eunice Gladstone O'Brian. He spent his early years helping on the family cattle farm before moving to California, where he graduated from Colusa High School and pursued studies in real estate, welding, and health care.
Larry proudly served in the United States Marine Corps in Force Recon during the Vietnam War, earning numerous honors including the Purple Heart and Silver Star. After his service, he worked in construction and industrial painting, contributing to major dam and high-rise projects.
In Wenatchee, WA, Larry met the love of his life, Theresa Snyder. Together they raised their son, Jason, and welcomed two granddaughters, Neoki and Mila. Larry was thrilled to learn he would soon become a great-grandfather to Connie Mae.
Known for his love of animals, children, fishing, motorcycles, and country music, Larry brought joy and warmth to everyone around him. He was often mistaken for Santa Claus by children and lovingly compared to a member of ZZ Top by adults.
Larry is now reunited with his beloved dogs, Maggie and Charlie, his parents, and his brothers, Bill, Steve, and Wayne. He leaves behind his wife of 42 years, Theresa; son, Jason and his daughter-in-law, MiyYong; granddaughters, Neoki and Mila; sister, Linda Eggert and her husband, Barry; and many extended family members and friends.
A Memorial Service will be Friday, August 1st, 2025, 1 p.m., Chapel of the Valley, 378 Eastmont Ave., East Wenatchee, WA.
