Luella Raatz Obituary

Luella was born in Deadwood, South Dakota to Rodney and Pauline Martin. The family moved to Bremerton, WA, after World War II started, where her father worked in the shipyards. They later lived in Chelan, WA where Luella attended grade school. Wenatchee is where she attended Junior High at HB Ellison and High School at Wenatchee High.
Luella married Rudy Raatz, the love of her live, in 1961. They were married 63 years.
She and Rudy were excited and happy when they welcomed Allan into their home in 1965 and again, with Lucinda, in 1966.
Luella's hobbies were drawing and crocheting. Her happiest times were spent with family.
Luella was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister.
Luella is preceded in death by her parents, Rodney and Pauline Martin; her husband, Rudy Raatz; son, Allan Raatz; daughter, Lucinda Robbins; brother, Chancey Martin; and sister, Nancy Webber. She is survived by her grandchildren, Tandy Luna Cordova, Tevin Robbins and Tiana Karas; great-grandchildren, Leticia, Daniel, Nija, Paul Jr., Xavier, Karter, Tayva and Gabriella; sisters, Verla Agnew, Betty Pipkin and Teresa Bigbull.
The family would like to thank Seniors Delight Adult Family Home for taking such loving care of Luella, especially Maria R. for the special care she gave to Luella. Her cousin Leslie also gave her much comfort in her presence.
She now sleeps in Jesus, awaiting that great Resurrection Day.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the East Wenatchee SDA Church at 11:00 a.m. on October 11, 2025.
