Marilyn Sheldon

1956 - 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Marilyn Sheldon on December 31, 2025, at the age of 69. Her friends and family will miss her deeply.
Marilyn, or "Mare", was born on May 21, 1956 and grew up in Cashmere, Washington, the daughter of Logan and Dorothy Sheldon and sister to David Sheldon.
She spoke often of experiences in the orchards and adventures growing up in Cashmere. She loved racket ball, singing, playing piano, woodworking, and photography and had a deep connection and commitment to her horses and dogs.
The deep sense of doing what is right instilled in Marilyn by her parents drove her commitment to working with the local women's shelter, humane society board, newspapers in Cashmere and Wenatchee, and community involvement throughout her life.
As a successful photographer and owner of Blue Moon Studios she memorialized weddings, high school seniors, and cherished pets with her expert images. As a videographer she was a frequent presence at reining and dressage events in Arizona.
Most recently her focus was high school sports, always marveling at the talent and kindness of the athletes and their families, and looking forward to covering games and important local events for the regional newspaper.
Marilyn's true legacy is the relationships she developed in her lifetime. Always hopeful and willing to help, she wasn't just a friend, she was family. Her passing leaves a hole in many lives.
Marilyn is survived by her brother David Sheldon.
There will be a private remembrance. Marilyn's family asks that donations be made in her name to the Gospel of Faith Church Food Bank in Ash Fork or their parent organization, St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance, and the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society.
Although Marilyn is no longer with us, she lives on in our hearts.
