Marjorie Cooper Obituary

Marjorie IIa Cooper
October 31, 1933 - April 13, 2025
In Loving Memory.
Marjorie Ila Cooper, 91, passed away peacefully in Calico Rock, AR, on April 13, 2025. Born in Boswell, AR, Marjorie lived a full and meaningful life rooted in love, hard work, and family.
She and her husband, Royce Cooper, married on March 15, 1952. Shortly after, they moved to Wenatchee, WA, where they made their home for most of their lives and raised three children. Marjorie and Royce remained deeply connected to both Washington and Arkansas, often returning to her beloved family farm in Boswell.
In Wenatchee, Marjorie worked in the fruit orchards alongside her two childhood friends forming lifelong bonds amid the rows of apple and cherry trees. Her early years of hard work were matched by an enduring devotion to her faith, family, her home, and the simple joys of everyday life. A woman of deep faith, she attended First Baptist Church in Calico Rock and Living Hope Church in Wenatchee.
Marjorie was a talented homemaker and a loving mother to three children. She had a gift for sewing even working as a seamstress for Jansport a love of reading, and a fondness for dancing at the VFW with friends and neighbors. Few things delighted her more than a good garage sale where she could always find a treasure and share a laugh.
She was married to the love of her life, Royce Cooper, for 71 years. Their marriage was a testament to lasting love, filled with shared memories, laughter, and unwavering support. Royce preceded her in death in 2023.
Marjorie is survived by her brother, Arthur Jones (Lovan); brother-in-law, Glennis Dale Cooper (Pat); her children: Nick Cooper (Sharon) of Wenatchee, WA, Barry Cooper of Melbourne, AR, and Deborah Cooper of Vancouver, WA; her six grandchildren: Jennifer Cooper, Kyle Cooper, Kenalyn Ayala (Tony), Jessica Dudley (John), Blair Cooper, and Delaney Cooper; and four great-grandchildren: Paxton and Trace Cooper, and Xavier and Imani Ayala.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Glen Jones; her sister, Willmetta Jones; and her parents, Calvin and Marie Jones.
Marjorie's legacy of kindness, strength, and warmth will continue to live on in all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories, well-worn cookbooks, hand-stitched quilts, and hearts full of gratitude for having known her.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Love from the entire Russ family. So many years of happy memories. As a little guy trying to pick cherries, I would watch Marj to try to figure out how she was so fast at it. Never use the bottom step on the ladder, and never bring your hands to the bucket until both are full of cherries"". I good life lesson for all of us to follow"". Hugs to your entire family,
