Jerry "Dude" Wayne Hicks, 73, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026, in Mountain Home. He was born on February 13, 1952, in Independence, Missouri, to Billy Opal Norman and Homer Hicks. On October 17, 1971, he married Marilyn Hicks, the love of his life, and together they built a life rooted in love, strength, and devotion that spanned more than five decades.

Jerry grew up in Calico Rock, Arkansas, where he developed the strong work ethic and quiet strength that would define his life. He was a hard worker who took great pride in providing for his family and ensuring they were always cared for. Jerry was a kind and faithful man who was always there for anyone in need. Though he was a man of few words, those words carried meaning and strength. His steady presence made those around him feel safe, supported, and loved. Jerry was deeply respected and loved by many. He was a faithful Christian whose quiet devotion and strength were evident in the way he lived his life. His family finds comfort in knowing he is now at peace in the presence of his Lord and Savior. His legacy of strength, loyalty, faith, and love will live on through all who knew him.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Opal Norman and Homer Hicks; his son, Jerry Hicks Jr.; his sister, Mary Heiskill; his brothers, Danny Hicks and Ken Hicks and other beloved family members, including Jim and Evelyn Villneff, Scooter Villneff, Yvonne Adamson, Jerry Villneff, Butch Blair, and David Rosson.

He also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him greatly.
