Shirel Ogle Obituary

Shirel Ogle
July 8, 1938 - February 3, 2025
Shirel Ogle passed away at his home in Peshastin, WA, on February 3, 2025, at the age of 86. He was born July 8, 1938, in Sevierville, TN, to Felix and Laurinda Ogle. Shirel attended school in Pittman Center, TN, until the age of 16 before moving to Leavenworth, WA, in 1958 to be closer to relatives and family.
On August 16, 1958, he married the love of his life, Shirley Rudolph. Together, they built a family and raised three children: Shirel "Chip" Ogle Jr., Charles Ogle, and Kimberly Smith, all of whom reside in Peshastin, WA.
Shirel had a lifelong passion for speed, which led him to race at the Wenatchee Super Oval for many years. He also found joy in riding motorcycles and four-wheelers through the forests, as well as snowmobiling in the winter. When he wasn't racing or riding, he could often be found tending to his summer garden, peeling fruit for his beloved grandchildren or sharing stories with anyone willing to listen.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ogle; his parents, Felix and Laurinda; his brother, Odie; and his sister, Wilma. He is survived by his three children, Chip, Charles, and Kimberly; his brothers, Doyle and Ben; his sisters, Alma and Della; as well as 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Mid Valley Baptist Church, 8345 Stine Hill Rd, Dryden, WA.
Shirel's love for adventure, storytelling, and family will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.
