Steven Zitting Obituary

Steven Edmund Zitting
July 26, 1954 - May 9, 2025
Steve was the son of Jack and Allene Zitting. He was born and raised in the Wenatchee valley and Pullman Washington. He trained early as an electrician and all construction trades. He worked for various companies over fifty years and became a long time member of IBEW 191. On November 1, 1975, he married his best friend, Patti (Cook) at the Logan temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Steve was proceeded in death by his parents; big brother, Mike; and sister, Carol. He leaves behind his wife, Patti, of Omak; daughters, Shannon Lake and Becci Pedersen, both of Everett, Washington; and son, Matthew Zitting of Benton City, Washington; five grandchildren and two grandpuppies; sister, Debra Jay, of Wenatchee; brother, Jim Zitting, of East Wenatchee; and sister, Marsha Nelson, of Provo, Utah. Steve loved motorcycles and had traveled through many states over the years. He loved the freedom of the ride and often said he wanted to die on the open road. He got his wish, so we know he died happy.
Graveside service will be held Friday, May 23, 2025, at the Okanogan Cemetery. 114 Cemetery Rd, Okanogan Washington.

I knew Steve from church and Boy Scouts. I can still repeat the jokes he told on campouts. He was a good friend. Condolences to his family.

I met Steve when I moved to Pullman. We met at church. He was kind to me and made me feel welcomed! It sounds like he had a good life. I lived many years in coulee dam. We were only a hour from Omak. Too bad we didn´t know. Thoughts and prayers for his family.

So sorry for your loss - my husband Truman and him were electricians in the Wenatchee Valley.
