Frankie James Drayton

Frankie James Drayron aka Salters, entered into the arms of Jesus on September 7th, 2025. Frankie was born in Springfield MA on May 28th,1955. He was the second oldest son of Sonny Lee Drayton and Gracie Belle Eddy. Frankie was educated in the Springfield public school system. Some of his hobbies included cooking honey hot wings for his family, playing spades, watching a good old western movie, reading books to the likes of Tom Clancy and Stephen King. He also enjoyed going out to eat with his family. Family is what Frankie lived for, and he was very protective of all his loved ones from oldest to youngest. Frankie was raised in Holy Trinity Church of God in Christ; he was also a member of Revival Time Deliverance Center where his love of God continued to develop. He also took the time to visit Miracle World Outreach Ministries and visited Freedom House of God Church on occasion. I am more than grateful to say that he rededicated his life to Christ 1 week prior to being called home. He was predeceased by his beloved Mother Grace Belle Eddy, Aunt Geneva Gasque, Sister Mattie Carol Askins, Brother Curtis Tracy Drayton, Uncle John Pickney, favorite Aunt Morrell Sheppard, and Cousin David E. Gasque. He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved only son Frankie James Gardner Jr, his oldest brother Freddie Lee Drayton, Brother/Caregiver Jeffrey Ferman Drayton, Brother Kevin Gerald Drayton, Sisters Monica Cheryl Drayton, Marilyn Irene Hall, and Tina Louise Hill. Adored Big cousins Teresa Shepard, Elaine "Cookie" Bland Gasque and Robert Wayne Gasque. Frankie leaves fond memories to a host of nieces, nephews, cousins' family and friends. Last but certainly not least I can't forget his Big Brother from another Mother Mr. Daryn Alexander Hill and his loving second mom Miss Neta Pearl McMillan. Frankie was a good man, an awesome brother and a great father. He was loved, admired and befriended by many. Rest on "Big Eyes". Peace!
