Buddy Bramble Obituary
Buddy Bramble, of Covington, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the age of 83. He was a United States Navy veteran, retiring in March of 2000, after proudly serving for more than 37 years in both active duty and Naval Reserve. He also worked as a real estate appraiser, employed independently as well as for Statewide Appraisals.
Mr. Buddy loved music, and had a penchant for shiny guitars. For years, he was a regular at the Strand Theater in Millington, where he would be on stage playing and singing with the house band, and his wife would be down front with the other ladies, line dancing and enjoying the music. Folks loved hearing him sing and play, and it was always a blessing when he did a special on Sunday mornings at Pleasant Grove Baptist where he and Mrs. Annie had been attending since 2010. In addition to music, Mr. Buddy loved golf. Turns out, he was quite the golfer and could be found out on the course five days a week, and you could be sure he was going to play all 18 holes!
To cherish his memory, he leaves behind his wife of 27 years, Annie Bramble; his daughter, Toni Sue Cross; his grandchildren, Travis Jackett and Torey Jackett; his great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Jackett and Ember Rose; his step-daughter, René Jones; his brother, Ronnie Bramble, and his sister, Joyce Coker.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tiffany Bramble Barnes; his grandson, Shannon Bramble; his son-in-law, Chris Cross, and his parents, Floyd and Nina Sue Dawson Bramble.
Friends and family are invited to attend the visitation for Mr. Bramble on Thursday, October 23rd at Covington Funeral Home from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral services will be held the next afternoon at the funeral home, on Friday, October 24th, at 1pm, and interment with military honors will follow the service in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. Brother Kevin McLeod will officiate the service. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Buddy Bramble, please visit our floral store.
