Sammie Moses Obituary

Sammie Lee Moses departed this life peacefully on July 12, 2025. He was surrounded by his wife and two daughters. Born August 15, 1949, in Leesburg, GA. Sammie "Sam" was one of seven children born to the late John and Bertha Moses. He attended grade school in Albany, GA and was a graduate of the High School of Commerce in Springfield MA. Sam was an avid basketball player which led him to play for several community leagues. He also had a great passion for music, especially the "the oldies but goodies." Sam was a hard worker and was employed by Hamiton Standard and Uniroyal prior to establishing "S and M Janitorial Services." Sam's life was a testament of compassion and dedication to his wife and children. Sam is predeceased by his mother Mrs. Bertha Moses and father John Moses Sr, brother John Moses Jr, and Aunt Alma Singleton. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Moses, two daughters, Kimberly Moses and Rebecca Berkley (Kyle) of Baltimore, MD, three sisters, Lizzie Francis (Norman) of Springfield, MA, Cheryl Foster (Leo) of Springfield, MA, Edna Moses of Corona, CA. Two brothers, Robert Moses (Willie Mae) of Southwick, MA, Adolphus Moses of Springfield, MA, three grandchildren Savannah, Saga and Shiloh Berkley of Baltimore, MD., and a host of family and many friends to cherish his memories.
