Candie Harelson Obituary

Candie Harelson, 63, West Plains, Mo., daughter of the late William Karl Wacker and Lucy (Collins) Wacker, passed away April 23, 2025.

She was born on Nov. 24, 1961, in Japan. She always talked about getting a "Made in Japan" tattoo, but she was terrified of needles.

Candie was married to William Harelson and had the patience of a saint.

Candie loved to cook and was happy feeding all who came to visit her home. Thanksgiving was her favorite way of showing love to those around her. Candie loved to travel and was always helping stray animals.

She is survived by her daughter, husband and little sister.

Candie will be missed by all, people and animals alike, forever.

Candie, it has been years since we have seen you and I was deeply saddened to learn of your passing. You were a great friend and a wonderful neighbor. You always made sure all the kids in the cul-de-sac were well taken care of. Rest in peace. My deepest condolences to your family.

We will miss you Candie! I always forgot to tell you that I won on that ticket. I was new to the store and didn't have Christmas envelope, like everyone else. You went out of your way and made sure I was included. I loved when you snuck to the store at night in your jammies, swearing us all to secrecy that we never saw you in your onesie jammies. You made a huge dent in this world. You done did good. We will all miss you, and I hope you can see from up there how much everyone cared about you. It's not goodbye, so we'll see you later...
Love, Debbe
