The sisters of the late Gerald and Paude; Pauline Jordan (Breaffy, Castlebar) and Maureen Hunt (Los Angeles, USA) along with their families wish to express their heartfelt gratitude to all those who offered their sympathy and support and helped them during the dual bereavements earlier this year. To all those who came to sympathise at Gerald's removal in Ballyhaunis, to those who called to or phoned Pauline's house in Breaffy, Castlebar; Those who attended Gerald's funeral in Aughamore and the Mayo people along with local friends and neighbours who attended Paude's in Brigg; Those who sent mass cards, letters and messages of support. To Fr's John Walsh, John McCormack and Ulick Bourke and to the choir and alter servers who officiated at Gerald's funeral. Thanks to the many kind neighbours and friends in both Aughamore and Breaffy who proved so supportive. A special posthumous thanks to the late David Johnston of Carrowbaun who, as well as being a great neighbour and support to Gerald was, in effect like a son to him. To Donnellan's Undertakers, Ballyhaunis especially Gertrude who epitomised professionalism whilst also grieving herself for her former next door neighbours. To Gerald's doctor, Dr Seamus Kennedy, Kilkelly and to the staff of A&E and A ward in Mayo General Hospital who looked after Gerald in his final illness. To the management and staff of Ballinamore Nursing Home in Kiltimagh who cared so well for Gerald in the last years of his life. To Moran's Village Inn in Aughamore who assisted with refreshments after Gerald's funeral. To all those who helped in anyway during those difficult three weeks a mass has been offered in thanksgiving for all.
