Carole Bergen Obituary

Carole J. Bergen, age 78, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Majestic Care of West Allen. Born on September 19, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Della (VanNocker) Weesner. Carole was a graduate of Elmhurst High School, class of 1965. She was a dedicated homemaker and mother to her four children. Carole enjoyed crossword puzzles and collecting American Indian artifacts in her later years. In her younger years, she simply loved dancing, often taking dance classes and even entering dance competitions. Above all, she loved her family and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Michele French, Sara Hester, Tracey Hester, and Kevin Hester; grandchildren, Nicholas Edwards, Stephanie Rice, Ambia Dorsey, Alison Brutton, Teric Dudley, Alexander Edwards, and Katlyn Wierzba; 10 great-grandchildren; and special friend, Bob Tegtmeyer. Carole was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Robert Weesner. Service information will be published soon. Please check back.
