Caroline Krick Obituary

Caroline Ann Krick, 86, of Fort Wayne, passed away at 12:07 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Lutheran Life Villages Inverness, Fort Wayne. Born on May 7, 1939, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Collins and Emma (Schonefeld) Krick. Growing up in Fort Wayne, she graduated from North Side High School in 1957. Never married, she worked various clerical jobs in Fort Wayne, including St Joseph Hospital, for many years. An active member of Forrest Park United Methodist Church, she did clerical work, served in the food pantry, and helped decorate the church for the Christmas season. She was the caretaker for her mother in her senior years. Caroline was a Chicago Bears football fan following their games through the season. Surviving is her guardian Maryellen (Ronald Burdick) Wright of Fort Wayne; Bryon Schonefeld, and Nola West. She was preceded in death by her cousin, Steven Schonefeld. Caroline desired to have no services. She will be interred beside her mother at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Columbia City. Arrangements are in the care of Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City.
