Clyde Kelly Obituary

Auburn – Clyde W Kelly, 83 of Auburn, passed away Monday, June 2, 2025 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. He was born in Sturgis, Michigan on December 6, 1941. His parents were Guy E Kelly and Mary A (Chail) Strobel. He graduated from St. Charles High School in Coldwater, Michigan. Clyde was a US Army Vietnam veteran. He worked as a Supervisor at Navistar for 33 ½ years before retiring in 1996. Clyde was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Waterloo. He liked to Bass fish and go bowling. He was a member of Auburn Bass Masters. Clyde was preceded in death by his wife, Sally J (Shafer) Kelly. They were married March 3, 1972 in Auburn and she passed away February 8, 2025. Surviving are 2 step sons, Scott K Smith of Hamilton and Michael A (Kimberly) Smith of Waterloo; 4 grandchildren, Logan (Christina) Smith, Alex (Amanda) Smith, Abby (Tanner) VanAuken and Dominick Trevino; 5 great grandchildren, Eli Smith, Henry Smith, Amos Smith, Roy Smith and Anya VanAuken; brother and sister in laws, Jack and Mick Shafer of Omaha, Nebraska, and dear family friends, Amanda and Donald Mapp and their son Wade Mapp. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter Jennifer L Treveno and a sister, Judy F Roisland. Services will be 11 AM Wednesday June 11, 2025 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Waterloo with burial to follow the service in Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn. Calling is Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn, IN and also 1 hour prior to the service Wednesday from 10 to 11 at the church. Memorials can be given in memory of Clyde to the DeKalb County Humane Shelter. To send condolences to the family visit www.fellerandclark.com. To the family of Clyde. I never really knew Clyde that well, but did see him occasionally with Sally. My sincere sympathy goes out to all of you. My prayers are with you as you continue this journey.
